Jomsom Muktinath Trek

The Jomsom trek is essentially the third round of the Annapurna Circuit. It follows the famous Kali Gandaki vally between the soaring peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, and finally emerges to the north of the main himalayan range on the day desert - like Tibetan plateau. The final destination is the holy temple Muktinath, a day walk beyond Jomsom. Muktinath is one of the most popular temples. Many devotees come from all over Nepal and India as well. The temple is situated at 3840 m from sea level. The temple is surronded by 108 taps. Near this temple a Monastry has a continuous fire over running water, which is a major sight of attraction. Then we return to Jomsom and then fly back to Pokhara.

Day 02	Pokhara - Nayapul, drive (1 hr), trek to Tirkedhunga (1540m), 4 hrs
Day 03	Tirkedhunga - Ghorepani (2855m), trek 6 hrs
Day 04	Ghorepani - visit Poon hill (3195m) - Tatopani (1190m), trek 7 hrs
Day 05	Tatopani - Ghasa (2010m), 6 hrs
Day 06	Ghasa - Tukuche (2590m), 6 hrs
Day 07	Tukuche - Kagbeni (2810m), 6hrs
Day 08	Kagbeni - Muktinath (3802m), 5 hrs
Day 09	Muktinath - Jomsom (2720m), 6 hrs
Day 10	Jomsom - Pokhara, fly (30 mins)
